If you order your skis for rental 2 weeks in advance, then they will be ready waiting for you to collect on Sunday (remember that were staying at Brekkeseter - close enough to the ski rental place that they don't deliver to where we stay - we go get them).

Thinking about putting a trip together to Høvringen, Rondane, next year staying in a selection of 5 cabins at Brekkeseter:
Pilgrimmen, Ottbragden, Seterfjøset, Øvrestue and Nedrestue look suitable for us.
Cabins range from 8-bedroom with a sauna to 4-bedroom without a sauna. There is a wood-fired outdoor sauna in the seter though (little hut by a pond).
Shop is alledgely 300 m away but looks more like 1 km on the map to me. Ski hire about 500 m away. The skiløpe network is about 150 km marked and 100 km prepared. All unknown to me though - will ask around in Halden if anybody has been there and let you know how the thinking is going.
